Isaiah 11:1-12
There is an interesting meaning in that first verse. I cut down as ash tree when the storm damaged it. For the first so many years it produced stems out of that root or stump. That is the very thing spoken of about Christ here. He is that rod or branch coming out of its cut down stump of David.Notice how all these qualities rest upon Him by the Spirit of God. One of the chief qualities of Christ both past and future is that He will have perfect judgment, and not after the human seeing of the eye or the hearing of the ear. With only these we can not only be partial, but very wrong in our judgment. These kinds of mistakes were not made by Christ in the past, and will not be made by Him in the future. In that day even the animal kingdom will be different and completely at peace and will be harmless even to a child. He is again mentioned as a root of Jesse which will bring peace on earth and a regathering from the nations into the land of Israel. All of this I see in our Lord Jesus Christ which I have the privilege of worshiping right now. Israel's glorious time is coming. We can have Him right now. Are you making the most of your relationship right now?
