Last Monday I wrote about Daniel and his three friends making a risky choice and God coming through for them in a most remarkable way.
Then in chapter 2 we find they already escaped death because God gave Daniel an answer to the prayers of the four of them in interpreting Nebuchadnezzer's dream. This took a great trust in the faithfulness of God.
Now these three men were going to be put to the test again. This time Daniel didn't seem to be in the country. Would they come through without the influence of Daniel?
This was a great challenge. I like their courage. It inspires me, and in the past ages, I am sure many of the people of God were driven to take many risks by the choices made by these three men.
There is more at stake here than the choice of these men. Is the story true? There is a book called "Daniel in the Critics Den." The true worth of this Bible is at stake. If one story could be disproved, we would have to throw the book away.
Now the end of story is that God came through again for these three men. A true miracle of God. To rule out the miracles of the Bible is to me unthinkable. It was a miracle that saved my soul.
