Joint Heirs With Christ! - Galatians 4:1-7

Paul shows that through salvation by faith we are more than servants, we are sons and heirs in the household of God because we are in Christ!

1. Purpose of an heir - An heir should learn humility, gratitude and integrity.
2. Position of an heir - An heir is first a servant then a son and heir.
3. Preparation of an heir - An heir is given a schoolmaster who is responsible for his well being and to bring him to the teacher to learn sonship.
4. Provision of an heir - The heir is given symbols of sonship which serve as reminders and demonstrate the genuineness of his inheritance(i.e. - a ring).

I am nothing in and of myself. Every good thing in my life has come from God. All the blessings of salvation are completely by His grace! Christ redeemed me from the slave ship of sin and made me a joint heir with Him! The law written on my heart and in God's Word brought me to see my need of sonship(salvation). I have been given the earnest of my inheritance, the Holy Spirit as my symbol of sonship!

Walk with the Lord as a joint heir!!!
