Pilate ordered Jesus Christ to be crucified! Why did Jesus die this way? What did it accomplish?
1. A suffering death - Crucifixion was the punishment for criminal charges. The charges against Jesus were that He claimed to be God.
2. A substitutionary death - The true charges that were paid for by Jesus death were mine and the sins of the whole world.
3. A sufficient death - Jesus death paid the full price of sin for all men but it is only made effective to those who place their faith in Him.
Walk with the Lord and rejoice in the payment of Jesus Christ for salvation!!!
