Hebrews 11:1-6

This chapter has one prevailing word and that is the word "faith". Right now we can only believe God by faith as the first verse explains. We cannot see God in any other way but by faith. This chapter goes on to explain the men of ancient times believed God first of all and then how they acted on what they believed. The fourth verse says we understand about the creation of the universe by faith. Scientific men have been searching for answers on this for years and have not found them. We understand simply by faith that God did it all. Abel and Enoch are the first two ancient men mentioned. Abel died for what he believed and being dead he stills speaks. The fact that you are reading this today says that he is speaking to your heart. Enoch never died but was taken away to Heaven without having to go through death. By the way, Enoch speaks, too. We have a prophecy in Jude 14 & 15 about Jesus and His people coming from Heaven to execute judgement. It was fulfilled in word in Revelation 19 from verse 11 on. Verse 6 says we please God by faith. We not only believe that He is, but is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. You will be richly rewarded if you do just that.
