Jesus Christ is the true final Great High Priest of which all human priests were simply a foreshadow or prototype. Christ's priestly ministry is unchanging in every way.
1. Unchanging Power - "save to the uttermost" - Only Christ is able to completely and totally cleanse us and save us.
2. Unchanging Permanence - "ever liveth" - Only Christ is able to completely save us forever.
3. Unchanging Person - "holy,harmless" - Only Christ is absolutely unchanging in the purity of His character and actions.
4. Unchanging Position - "separate from sinners, higher than the heavens" - Only Christ has been acknowledged with a permanent satisfactory payment for sin.
My salvation, sanctification and service are all secured in the one great high priest - Jesus Christ!
Walk with the Lord secure in our unchanging high priest - Christ Jesus!!!
