Revelation 3:7-13
I count it a privilege to write about this church called Philadelphia. The name means "brotherly love". Jesus calls himself the One who is holy and true. He also has the key of David and this key opens and shuts all biblical doors. He has many good things to say about this church and because of that He has given them many open doors to serve Him. If your church is described this way there will be open doors. If you personally are this way you will have open doors to serve as well. This church is described as keeping His word meaning living according to the Word of God. This church also has the promise of Christ's quick return and to be kept from the great tribulation that will soon overtake this world. Next is the wonderful promises one already mentioned above. A pillar in the temple of God (the Church) is something on which the structure rests. We also have the promise of a special name which I can't say much here. We also have the thought of having a listening ear to hear the voice of the Spirit as He speaks to the churches. I must ask you whether or not you have that kind of ear and do you act upon what you hear?
