Proverbs 24:1-12

There is no value in being envious of evil men. They may have money and all kinds of pleasure while we may have nothing that seems of great value yet our final outcome will be a whole lot different. They labor for a good earthly life while we for an eternal reward. The next three verses speak of wisdom. By wisdom a house is built. Knowledge furnishes its rooms. There is the strength of the wise man. There is the counsel of the wise man. Then there is the fool who rejects wisdom. He who plots to do evil, called a schemer, a deviser of foolishness which is all kinds of sin. He is a scoffer. An abomination to men. When the day of adversity comes do I faint or lose strength. In hard times we must go on and persevere. In verse 12 God is the one who weighs the hearts. He keeps the soul. He sees all and knows all. Eventually He will render to all according to each man's deeds. God is the great rewarder. We must take heart
