The final verses of Romans bring us to the conclusion on the theme of God's righteousness. The righteousness of God is glorious! He is spotless, perfect, impeccable, brilliant and pure in His righteousness. God's conduct is always, completely, exactly consistent with His character! In displaying His righteousness and bestowing His righteousness to us and through us, God displays His glory. Paul's final thoughts challenge us to remember:
1. Purity - Purity of doctrine. Beware of watering down or changing any truth about God's righteousness. Avoid those who teach false doctrine about God's righteousness.
2. Process - People with various gifts, skills, backgrounds, experiences together sharing the "mystery" that someone shared with them: How to be made righteous through faith in Jesus Christ who died, was buried, and rose again for them.
3. Purpose - "To God, only wise be glory through Jesus Christ forever, Amen." God is glorified(shown in truth and beauty of His holiness, love, mercy, grace, wisdom, power, truth......) when people He has justified(declared righteous through faith in His Son) cooperate with Him in turning spiritually dead people into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.
Walk with the Lord in righteousness for His glory!!!
