God's will is for His children to be involved in bringing in the harvest. In this passage, Jesus taught his disciples that they are to be sensitive to the opportunities around them to "reap" a spiritual harvest.
1. The priority - Jesus told the disciples that His "meat" (sustaining drive) was to do God's will of gathering the harvest.
2. The process - Reaping is preceded by sowing. Others have already sown and the fields are ready to harvest.
3. The principle - The woman at the well had already sown by her testimony, now the harvest was coming to Jesus. We should always look for ripe spiritual fruit. God is constantly at work preparing the hearts of people.
I must be alert to those around me that have been prepared to trust in Jesus Christ for salvation!
Walk with the Lord and go to reap!!!
