Wash Your Feet! - John 13:1-11

In this passage Jesus washes the disciples feet. At first Peter refuses to allow Jesus to wash his feet then he begs Jesus to give him a whole bath. Jesus uses different words for "wash" in order to teach Peter and the others:

1. Humility - Jesus was willing to be a servant and wash others feet.
2. Holiness - All must be completely washed (louo - completely washed clean) or saved. This was true of the disciples except one (Judas). All who are saved must be continually washed (nipto - partially washed) or stay in fellowship.
3. Honesty - We must be honest with God. (Judas was a fake) We must be honest with ourselves. (Peter needed to admit his need for cleansing) We must be honest with one another. (None of us are too great or good to be servants)

Walk with the Lord in humility, holiness and honesty and wash your feet!!!
