The Pharisees were choosing material values over spiritual values and leading others to do the same thing. Jesus shared the importance of being rich toward God.
1. Person not Possessions -
2. Stewardship not Ownership -
3. Eternal not Temporal -
Life is not about what I have but who I have. I am not the owner of material things but the manager of them for God. I must invest my energies in that which is eternal and not the things that will pass away.
Walk with the Lord and be rich toward God!!!

Good thoughts ...but hard to live. The here and now is so demanding. I can't see past the temporal without the help of the Holy Spirit.
