Paul shares several words of wisdom for those who are wealthy:
1. Humility - God is the source of every good thing that we have.
2. Faith - Do not put security in wealth but in the God who gave it.
3. Gratitude - Be thankful for the blessings and opportunities of wealth.
4. Diligence - Pursue opportunities to do good.
5. Generous - Be willing to share resources with others.
6. Wisdom - Live with an eternal perspective and reject temporal values.
Through these qualities we "lay hold on eternal life". Eternal life is both a future expectation and a present reality. Life takes on a whole new dynamic when we have the Holy Spirit and we experience His blessing and freedom as we obey His Word.
Walk with the Lord and use wealth wisely!!!
