Verses 10 and 11 remind us that the love of money is the root of all evil and that we should seek after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, and meekness. Of course, money itself is not evil. But, when it becomes our obsession to obtain more of it, we forget our priority and focus on the temporal. Instead we must remember that our relationship with and service to our Lord will last forever and allow us to be "wealthy" for eternity. Jesus said it this way, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you." (Matthew 6:33)
Let's focus on storing up treasures in Heaven!!!
