In this passage Paul shares with Timothy how to detect false teachers and how to be a true teacher. The tests of any teacher are their doctrine and their deeds.
False Teachers
1. Doctrine - Depart from the faith, doctrine of devils - Genesis 3 gives the devil's doctrine - any teaching that doubts God's Word, denies God's Word or disdains God's Word.
2. Deeds - Lies, hypocrisy, legalism
True Teachers
1. Doctrine - Good doctrine - agrees with God's Word, leads to wholesome living - no fables -not man's opinions or experience
2. Deeds - Godliness, eternal values, faith
Walk with the Lord and follow true teachers!!!
