Access To The Throne Of Grace! - Mark 15:27-41

When Jesus died on the cross and finished the work of being our substitute for sin, the veil of the temple was torn from top to bottom. This was a :

1. Supernatural act - The veil was very thick and woven tightly so strong oxen tied at each end could nor pull it apart. But without any human intervention it was suddenly torn in two.
2. Symbolic act - This veil separated the holy place where only the priests could enter from the holy of holies where only the high priest entered and only once a year and only with the blood of the lamb. The veil being torn symbolized that direct access to the presence of God was now available to all who applied the blood of Christ by faith. "Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need". Hebrews 4:16
2. Synchronized act - This took place right as Jesus cried "It is finished" showing that the death of Jesus Christ and the shedding of His perfect blood had caused this action.
