This passage gives God's instruction for the preaching of His Word.
1. The Mandate - God has spoken and He has given commandments not suggestions. We must know God's Word in order to please Him.
2. The Method - God's Word is to be read, explained and applied.
3. The Motive - Obedience to God which produces joy in our lives.
Be careful to preach and hear all of God's Word and not man's opinions or pet issues. Be sure to accurately study the Bible in context to know what it is saying. God's Word is not just for "head" knowledge but for practical application. Read, study and listen until I get a "rhema" from God.
Walk with the Lord and listen and apply God's Word daily!!!
