Again at the beginning of this passage, John attempts to worship the angel who he is with. The angel again does what Lucifer refuses to do, reject worship. This angel who is loyal to the King, has no desire of worship, only to point John to the worship of their (John's and the angel's) God.
John is commanded to spread the word and to spread it quickly, because Christ is coming! John was told to leave people as they were due to the lack of time before the coming of Christ. I do not believe this means that we are no longer to witness. It would not be wise however to spend our whole lives witnessing to one who will not repent (Though we should never give up!). We must get the Gospel, which will wash our robes whiter than snow, to as many people as will receive it!
Jesus Christ calls Himself the Alpha and Omega. This shows His eternality. The Messiah created everything, and He will be around when everything in the book of Revelation is fulfilled. He is God and we must worship, praise, fear, and obey Him... after all, He is coming QUICKLY!
