Jesus was crucified on a hill known as Calvary. During His crucifixion, He fulfilled all the prophecies that had been made concerning His death. Several important truths were seen during the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
1. The audacity (depravity) of man - This scene like no other shows that man is evil in nature and apart from God is helplessly and hopelessly lost. The pure, loving, innocent Son of God was rejected with horrendous physical abuse and excruciating emotional anguish. Man's prideful and wicked heart is exposed at Calvary.
2. The accuracy of God's Word - Every Bible prophecy concerning Christ's death was fulfilled with pinpoint accuracy. All this happening by chance is next to impossible! Over and over the Bible shows itself to be true. We can rest in every one of God's promises in His Word!
3. The availability of Jesus Christ - Availability : Making my own schedule and priorities secondary to those I serve. Jesus Christ left heaven's glory and gave Himself in order to satisfy God's wrath against sin and to meet my need of forgiveness.
All of these together say - "God loves Me!" In spite of my wicked rebellion and sin, God the Father carried out the plan of redemption exactly according to plan and Jesus willingly and knowingly died in my place. Hallelujah, what a Savior!!!

Oh love of God how rich and pure how measureless and strong

Today is Fri..Matt. 28:1-10
I love to use these verses to show women their importance in God's plan. It shows His special Love for us....We are told of these women who observed as the Lord Jesus took His last breath on the cross....The Word tells how many women were used as they followed Him from Galilee to care for His needs. (27:55)...There were women taking note of the body of our Lord as it was placed in the tomb. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sat opposite the tomb (v.61)The same women showed up at dawn after Jesus rose from the grave 28:1)...When the stone was rolled away, He first spoke to the women...God has a special place for women in His eternal plan...The woman who feels unloved should and can cleave to these verses, knowing she is loved by her Lord....I am so thankful that He loves me......
