Help In A Hurry! - Psalm 70:1-5

This Psalm is a cry for help. David shares:

1. A Declaration of Need - Hurry! Help! The words "Make haste" are repeated for emphasis.
2. A Description of Need - David asks God to do several things to hinder God's enemies and help God's servant
3. A Dedication of Need - Through the deliverance God provides that God will be "magnified".

David requests:

1. Punctual Deliverance - The words "make haste" mean "please hurry, I need help with this situation NOW!". What is your most urgent need? Have you taken it to the Lord?
2. Powerful Deliverance - "God" is the Hebrew name "Elohim". This name means "the strong one who keeps His word". As "Elohim", God is our creator. He, alone has this kind of awesome power. It is the power to do the impossible. No matter how bad, difficult or complicated our need God is able to help!
3. Personal Deliverance - "LORD" is the Hebrew name "JEHOVAH". This name means "the self existing holy one who hates sin but who loves sinners". As Jehovah, God is our redeemer. He is holy, He must judge sin. However, He loves us so much that He became the substitute on the cross to pay for our sin to redeem(buy us back and set us free) us! We can be assured that the in the greatest time of need God loves us and will use His mighty power for our good!

Walk with the Lord and find help in a hurry!!!
