In this chapter, David begins by giving a personal testimony of where he stands in relation to God. He has decided to trust in his God and to take shelter and refuge in Him. After David gives credit to the Lord for his own safety, he calls on others to forsake their wicked ways and to call upon the Lord. David reminds us that God is powerful, which should invoke a fear, a willingness to obey, and a comfort in His protection. David also reminds us that God is merciful. We can go back to Him repentant and He will accept us and love us.
We must be faithful to share our testimony and communicate the love, mercy and salvation afforded to us through Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world!
"Rescue the perishing, care for the dying. Jesus is merciful! Jesus will save!"
