The promised land in Scripture is not a picture of heaven but rather of the blessing of a victorious walk with God. This life of "rest" was forfeited by a generation of Israelites because of their unbelief. Even Moses missed out on "rest". This did not mean that Moses did not go to heaven but that He did not go into the promised land of blessing.

There is a warning and opportunity for me in this example. Victory and joy in my life is in proportion to my willingness to believe and obey God!
Walk with the Lord and find rest!!!
