Jesus described four different heart responses to truth.
1. Wicked heart - hard, prideful, stubborn, unbroken
2. Weak heart - offended in trial, tribulation or persecution
3. Worldly heart - choked out by worldly values and desires
4. Welcome heart - open, receptive, obedient
The first three responses result in no fruit but the fourth brings about evident results of the right kind. I need to keep my heart cultivated and ready to receive and follow through with God's truth.
How do I keep a welcome heart? Go to the cross! Christ's love for me on the cross motivates me to love Him in return and to stay humble and obedient!
Walk with the Lord and have a welcome heart!!!
