Faith in Jesus Christ! - Matthew 9:14-26

This passage points out that faith has always been the way of salvation. We are saved by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone! This has always been the way of salvation. However, the way faith was demonstrated has changed we call these periods dispensations. In this passage Jesus compared the dispensation of the Law with the dispensation of Grace. In the dispensation of Law, people demonstrated their faith by keeping the Jewish Laws, all of these laws, feasts and sacrifices pointed to the coming Messiah. They were not saved by the Law, they only demonstrated their faith in this way. Now that Jesus Christ has come, to continue to keep the laws, feasts and ceremonies would mean we are still looking for the Messiah to come and not accepting Jesus Christ as the Messiah. We demonstrate our faith now by calling upon the name of the Lord agreeing with God about Jesus Christ! (Romans 10:9,10)

Do you believe that Jesus is the Christ? Have you called upon Him for salvation? The only reason there will be a 2008 is because God is longsuffering and "not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance"(2 Peter 3:9) We must tell the "Good News"(Gospel) that Jesus Christ the Savior has come, died for our sins, risen, and offers eternal life as a gift to all who will receive it! (John 3:16)
