Jesus taught His disciples that they would be treated the same way by the world as He was treated. The world loves darkness and lies and rejects light and truth. Jesus told His disciples three things about persecution.
1.) Expect persecution - "I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves"
2.) Embrace persecution - Don't worry about what to say, God will enable you in the midst of persecution
3.) Endure persecution - Stay faithful - endure to the end and it will be worth it all
Remember that this world is not our home. We are just pilgrims passing through. Our treasure is laid up somewhere beyond the blue!
Don't be discouraged by persecution - it means your living like Jesus!!!
