Pharaoh was obviously disturbed by the plague of hail and he made an insincere repentance and offer to let Israel go and sacrifice to God. Moses could sense that Pharaoh was not being genuine but rather than allow the issue to become personal he allowed God to determine the response.
Many times we are in this same situation. People lie, exaggerate, go back on promises, etc. How should we respond? We can be tempted to take the situation personally or question the way God chooses to respond. Jonah got angry when God decided to show mercy on Nineveh. Habakkuk questioned God when He delayed His judgment on Israel and then chose to use the Babylonians as the agents of discipline. We must determine, like Moses, that we are just an instrument in God's hand and that we do not want to take His place. Trust that God is omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent and righteous and let Him be God!
Walk with the Lord and let God be God!!!
