Exodus 12:25-36 "The final blow"

When we read the story of the passover we sometimes get to the place and say, the Egyptians have had enough. God's intent for the the passover story is that God, Jehovah had had enough. God had given Pharaoh and his bunch nine chances up to this point to realize that these, Jehovah's people, were HIS and He had a purpose and plan for them and it was not being Pharaoh's brick makers for his construction purposes. What does it take for God to get your attention? How many times does he need to remind you that He is in charge and that redemption is his main goal in order that men and women can worship HIM. God states in the telling of the story that one of the things that he wanted to be remembered through the retelling of this story is found in verse 27 of the chapter. In verse 26 he states that when the question was asked "What mean ye by this service?" , that the answer should be that it was the time: (1) When he smote the Egyptians, (2) delivered our houses, (3) the people bowed the head and worshiped. It would have been a wonderful thing if they would have bowed the heart also. This could have been a wonderful opportunity for total revival. God did accomplish His task. God's people were set free! God is still in the business of setting people free from their Pharaoh's" in order that they might worship him freely.
