A Mixed Multitude! - Exodus 12:37-51

The day finally arrived that the nation of Israel was able to leave Egypt after 430 years! As they left, the Bible says "a mixed multitude" went with them. This means that those who chose to place faith in Jehovah had the opportunity to do so and were welcome to leave Egypt as well. However, God required that in order to partake in the passover and consider themselves "as one born in the land" they must demonstrate their faith by being circumcised.

Praise God that His mercy, love and grace reaches out to all people! Most of us are in the "mixed multitude"(not Jewish by birth) yet God extends His compassion to us! When we are saved, we should not be ashamed of Christ but boldly share the gospel with others. "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Christ died for all men! We must take the Gospel to the "mixed multitude" of the world for God wants them to be saved!

Walk with the Lord and rejoice that you are a part of the family of God!
