The scribes and pharisees criticized Jesus and his disciples for not following man-made rules which these religious leaders used to pretend they were spiritual and to hide their true wicked hearts that were far from God.
Jesus said that these hypocrites:
1. Taught their doctrines as God's Word - Mark 7:7
2. Laid aside God's Word - Mark 7:8
3. Rejected God's Word - Mark 7:9
4. Robbed God's Word of it's power - Mark 7:13
I must determine to be genuine in my walk with the Lord.
1. God's Word over man's tradition
2. God's approval over man's acceptance
3. God's glory over man's(self) benefit
Walk with the Lord and be genuine!!!
