A Lasting Testimony! - Mark 6:14-29

In this passage, Herod has a flashback to John the Baptist when he considers the ministry of Jesus.

Herod is shown as:
1. Confronted v.18
2. Compromiser v.17
3. Carouser v.21-23
4. Coward v.24-26
5. Convicted v.16

Herod is typical of those in the world today:
1. A selfish vow breaker
2. A wicked adulterer
3. A willful procrastinator
4. A pleasure seeker
5. A crowd pleaser
6. A shameless murderer
7. A tormented prisoner

I should be willing to follow the example of John the Baptist by being a person of:
1. Confronting this sinful generation with the truth
2. Consistently living for Christ even in trial and persecution
3. Compared to Christ because of my character and actions
4. Continual influence because of my faithful testimony

Walk with the Lord and live for a lasting testimony!!!
