In this passage we see:
1. A perplexing problem - a boy is uncontrollably possessed by a demon - problems are allowed by God to bring me to Jesus and to remind me of my dependence upon Him.
2. A persistent parent - the boy's father persisted to find help for his son until in tears he cried out "I believe, help thou my unbelief" - as a parent I should have this kind of burden for my children - do whatever it takes for their spiritual freedom and victory.
3. A powerful Prophet - the Lord Jesus Christ has all authority - "all things are possible" - no situation is too great for my Savior!
4. A perceptive point - the power of the Holy Spirit gaining spiritual victory over bondage in my life and through my ministry is connected to prayer and fasting.
Walk with the Lord and in His power over spiritual bondage!!!
