In this passage Jesus explains the parable of the sower to His disciples.
Sower - Anyone who sows the seed
Seed - The Word of God
Soil - The human heart - our mind, will and emotions
Types of soil:
"wayside" - wicked - hard, unbroken heart
"stony" - weak - rocky, unforgiving heart
"thorns" - worldly - cluttered, undedicated heart
"good" - welcome - broken, forgiving, dedicated, fruitful heart
God's goal for my life is fruitfulness.
God's only seed that will bear good fruit is His Word.
Fruitfulness is dependent upon the condition of my heart.
Walk with the Lord with a fruitful heart!!!
