In this passage John contrasts the "helper", Gaius with the "hinder er", Diotrophes. Diotrophes hindered the work of God through:
1. Rebellion - pride and selfishness
2. Resistance - critical speech
3. Rejection - refusing the ministry of good teachers
Be a helper of God's work! Be humble and put others first. Use edifying speech. Pray for and encourage godly workers.
I am either helping or hindering God's work!
Walk with the Lord and be a helper!!!
