The people of Israel had made a choice to sin by intermingling in marriage. This sin brought consequences and the consequences led to conviction and confession of the sin to God. This passage describes the long, difficult process of dealing with the consequences.

-Psychological
2. Confessed sin can and will be forgiven by God
-1 John 1:9
3. Consequences from unconfessed and confessed sin last for our lifetime.
Walk with the Lord and walk away from sin to avoid the consequences!!!
