Ezra 6:1-12
In the former verses we notice a persistence in the people of God to go on to rebuild the temple. After all they had the decree from King Cyrus. The lie of the enemy was that they were building the city not the temple. Persistence even in the face of opposition will win the day in the work of God. We can look at this and we can notice how easy it is to stop a work. When they continued even in the face of opposition soon the answer came. The present emperor gave the decree that they could continue and none could hinder them. Materials were to be given and punishment would be to any that would oppose them. This is a great lesson to me and it should be to all who are in the work of Christ today. Go on at all cost. God will be with you.
