In this passage the people of God are stirred up to restart the work of God. This was accomplished through two prophets, Haggai and Zechariah. Many times we begin a work for God in our lives. We start our Quiet Time, prayer life, witnessing, serving, giving, memorizing, praising, thanking, demonstrating, etc. However, in time we allow our adversary, the devil, to hinder us and eventually the work of God ceases and we become a "used to" Christian. How can we restart the work of God in our lives?
1. Hear the Word - Get back under Bible preaching and learning.
2. Heed the Word - Begin to obey.
3. Hope in the Word - Continue to obey, trusting God can and will overcome any hindrance.
There is no "success" in the work of God apart from the Word of God. (Psalm 1:1-6, Joshua 1:8, Hebrews 11:6)
Walk with the Lord and stop being a "used to Christian!!!
