This passage records David's response to God's plan and covenant. David showed:
1. Humility - "Who am I?" showed that David considered himself unworthy of God's favor. He acknowledged that he was dependent on God and undeserving of all God's blessing.
2. Submission - David did not object to God's changes to what he had planned to do. David believed that God's way was best and was willing to follow His direction.
3. Faith - David could not understand why or how but he believed that God was able to accomplish all that He promised to David. David gave thanks and praise to God trusting that those things were as good as done.
When we respond to God's grace in this way, God gives more grace, God gets the glory, we grow like Christ and we get the joy!
Walk with the Lord and grow in grace!
